Project Description +

The complete overhaul of a flagship fashion boutique in a corner plot, within the famous Portobello Road conservation area. Working as part of a client lead team including in-house brand consultants and interior designers, we were commissioned to provide architectural services and to act as joinery sub-consultant. In collaboration with the facade engineer and a local artist, we developed a Portland Stone facade with English Oak doors and window frames to create a robust and re ned external envelope that sat well within the strictly defined (conservation area) design codes. Bespoke signage, incorporating the brand’s logo was hand carved into large format stone panels, to match the brand identity as well as the historic context. The project received planning in March 2017 and is currently under construction.
