The Kind und Jugend trade fair at Koelnmesse is an annual commission for Eckford Chong.

The fast paced programme of just 3 days to erect the complete stand with only 18 hours to dismantle has led to a component based design which makes this possible in the short time frame.

The flexible modular design was adopted so it could be reused annually over a 3 year cycle making it more economically and sustainably viable, which was important to the client.

We designed a structure consisting of 48 individual interlocking panels to provide an environment that can exhibit up to 100 handbags and other accessories.

The articulation of the two sister-brands distinct identities was fulfilled using a variety of materials and colour schemes to define the two wings of the stand, promoting the two unique commercial identities.
