A typical London terraced house, for instance, is quite likely to be around 100 years old. These are fantastically robust, adaptable and often beautiful structures that many of us strive to own.  

This is the reason that much of our work involves working with existing properties and developing homes within or in addition to their historic envelope. 

This work brings its own complexities and each project is quite unique, with surprises, gifts and challenges in equal measure. 

Our approach is always to start with an informal conversation on-site. We can then propose a course of action (explained in detail in our ‘method’ section) that is deemed appropriate, usually starting with a feasibility study to asses what is viable within your estimated budget and what might suit your brief and attitude towards planning (see section on permitted development) and the aspirations of the brief.  

This short report will give you an indication of the other professional services you may require and provide cost estimates for the type of work proposed.
